The Senior Citizens' Forum, Kottayam, founded in 1987 is the foremost organization committed to providing intellectual, social and emotional support to senior citizens by organizing fortnightly meetings, visits, and picnics and provide fellowship. The Forum brings out a monthly newsletter, Elders' Voice, which articulates the issues concerning senior citizens.

The Senior Citizen’s Forum, Kottayam, formed in 1987, has completed 32 years.

The Forum registered a steady growth in line with the vision of its founding leaders, Mr. V. C. Lukose, Dr. Mathew Parackal and their team.

It spearheaded the formation of the Federation of Senior Citizens’ Associations Kerala, at the state level and is affiliated to it. The number of units affiliated to the federation has also been going up as a result of the untiring efforts of its office bearers.

The Federation assigned the responsibility of hosting the ‘World Elders’ Day’ celebrations, 2012, to our unit. We managed to organize the events to the satisfaction of all the participants from far and wide with the unstinted support and involvement of all our members.

The Silver Jubilee celebration of the Forum was inaugurated with the Onam celebrations, 2012.
